Courses

The Grooming School is here to meet your needs and requirements. This way we can give you the flexibility to learn what you need to learn. Yes our courses are structured but we listen to you and assess your abilities so that we can formulate a plan to maximise the benefit for the time you spend learning from us. Dependent on your requirements we tailor the course to suit your individual needs and future plans. We have the ability to teach all aspects of dog grooming from beginner to advanced. We listen to what you are wanting to achieve and match the suitable elements of grooming, with your experience and ability, to piece together a plan of action to guarantee you achieve your success.

All students will be assessed prior to commencement of courses by either face to face meetings or phone and e-mail contact. It is important to us that we totally understand the outcomes you want to achieve on completion and a course will be designed for you during this time. We do this so that you are not wasting time figuring it out and burning up hours of wasted time after you have started your course .This way we can start immediately in working directly towards your chosen goals

Course durations are for: - 5 days, 10 days, 5 weeks or 10 weeks

YOU WILL NOT LEARN TO BECOME A PET GROOMER IN 5 – 10 DAYS AND WE WILL NOT TEACH ANYONE WHO THINKS THEY CAN
Novice or inexperienced groomers will not be taught advanced techniques

As harsh as it sounds the reality is that no-one can learn all that is involved in pet grooming without first learning the necessary basic skills. It is our belief that regardless of what school you go to, at best you can only learn the basics of bath, dry and groom and maybe touch on some intermediate skills in 5 – 10 days, irrespective of what is guaranteed. To learn advanced skills as with any other trade requires years of hands on experience and thorough understanding and knowledge of all basic and intermediate levels of scissoring, handling and grooming techniques.

As well as learning basics the 5 & 10 day courses are also a great way for existing groomers to keep up with current trends, top up their skills and learn differing styles, gain ideas to help improve their speed and overall quality of their work. We are never too old to learn.
The courses are complete hands on training and you will be working with dogs from day one. All dogs are professionally prepared for you by our staff members to ensure that your entire time is devoted to learning what you need to learn
