Welcome to The Grooming School The Grooming School started in July 2005 and stands out as the number one grooming school in Australia. The head teacher at The Grooming School is Christine Speerin CMG. Christine is a Certified Master Groomer and also travelled to the USA in October 2008 where both she and fellow compatriot,Nicky Renwood became the first two Australians to become certifiers for the International Professional Groomers Inc ( IPG ).

Christine also holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and is the face of TGS grooming supplies.

Christine's knowledge of her craft and expertise at teaching the course is designed to take you from the infancy of learning the Art Of Dog Grooming to the successful and exciting stage of starting and controlling your own profitable business.

All stages are taught meticulously by Christine and her staff and the course literature structured by the Animal Industries Resource Center ( AIRC ).
Grooming is a passionate art form to success and completing all stages of the course will give you a cutting edge advantage in having an ongoing successful career in the pet grooming industry. The courses also give you the flexibility to work around your own lifestyle and can be completed on a part-time basis.

Christine has had 28 years continuous experience operating her own successful businesses in Sydney, Central Coast and Lake Macquarie areas and is now based at her Studio Paws salon at Woollarah in Sydney. A workaholic Chris is also involved in Rossgold Park Boarding Kennels which she currently co-owns with her husband Les in the beautiful Lake Macquarie area at Cooranbong. Also heavily involved in the pet industry Christine and Les have recently formed “ Groom Team Australia “ which is a team consisting of Australia’s best groomers. This team will to go to Germany in September 2009 to compete in the world championships against teams from Europe and the USA.

During her early years Christine was one of a handful of “Brittany “ breeders in Australia winning countless awards with her champion "Likren" prefix in the show ring ,  breeding the majority of “Best of Breed“ and Group winners at all major shows in Australia and although showing rarely these days her breeding is still prevalent in the ring today.

Since 1990 Christine has been a regular competitor in grooming competitions around Australia and has placed in every Groomex competition that she has participated in. Her most recent successes was at the recent 2007 Groomex held in Melbourne where she won the creative section with her poodle “ Jasper “ which she transformed into a “ Bart Simpson “ lookalike and in the 2008 competition she gained second place with "Jasper" who this time was turned into a boxing kangaroo.

A dedicated family person Christine is always approachable in helping others and a great listener to others needs.
